Life on Merhoff Street

Peter Blade lived alone, respected none and no one knew where he’s from. He lived large, laid low and never brought a check home. He worked the streets with a brown paper bag next to his feet.  One workday was cut short and that day he never came home.

  3. I like this. It reminds me of a song by Everlast, "What It's Like".

    Great tune:

  4. I had a hard time trying to come up with a story so I thought “what about a story from my crazy childhood-neighborhood”

  5. It's emotional to read. Also, I heard the tune from Paige..I can also relate to that.

  6. I enjoyed the sense of mystery you tied into this story. I liked how it began with no one ever knowing where he came from, and then ended with no one ever knowing his fate.

  8. This brought so many images to my mind, which was exactly the purpose. Good choice of words because it gives you an image, but I'm sure everyone's version of it is totally different.
